it smells like summer again
sunscreen,
and bug spray
your sweat on my tongue
it smells like autumn again
cinnamon,
and apple crisp
your scarf around my neck
it smells like winter again
firewood,
and hot cocoa
your cold fingers against my warm calf
it smells like spring again
rainfall,
and fresh flowers
our hearts grow back to each other
it smells like you again
hope,
and promised revival
we will change along with the seasons.
