Sumac Literary Magazine

The Team

The team at Sumac Literary Magazine is made up of students participating in Carleton University’s ENGL 4139 course (previously known as ENGL 4135B). This results in a revolving team of students helming an issue of the magazine each time the course is taught.

Issue 1: Embark (Winter 2023)

Issue 2: Finding Your Footing (Winter 2024)

Issue 3: Planting Roots (Winter 2025)

Land Acknowledgement

Sumac acknowledges that our teams and facilities are situated on the traditional and unceded territories of the Algonquin nation, and that many of us are uninvited guests on this land. We acknowledge and thank the stewards and caretakers of this land and watershed. Their presence here reaches back to time immemorial and we hope that our contribution, Sumac Literary Magazine, has a positive impact.
